Highlands of Folgaria, Lavarone and Luserna
It seems like a green sea. Meadows and pastures surrounded from woods. Homesteads and “malghe”. Here there ‘s a good climate and sun for all day. There are also severe witnesses about "Grande Guerra".
Lavarone with his fascinating lake received the first tourists. Among all tourist there was Freud. He loved have a rest in this place.
Few kilometres forward, Folgaria sources. Tourist centre, it gave hospitality to an important person to Cesare Musatti.
Luserna, other town, is a place inhabited from Cimbri, who are an ethnic german minority that keeps customs and traditions. Their usage and customs are waiting to be discovered. In these places there are many mushrooms. You can go to make trekking and every type of sport you like. This was a strategic zone during the first world war and the "Austro-Ungarici" fortified zone by many trenches, towers and communications trenches. Today, through some ruins, pass the peace way. This way goes through the line of front where Alpini and Kaiserjaeger fought.
